SKIN CONSULTATION

A Facial Aesthetic Consultation is essential to allow Dr Amrita to assess your concerns and suitability for treatment.

An AKB Skin Consultation, includes a skin analysis using the Meicet Skin Analyzer, a comprehensive chat about your skin concerns and goals, as well as discussing your current routine. Dr Amrita will then treat you to a taster facial customised to your skin or a complimentary LED session, should a facial not be suitable.

This consultation is £60, of which £30 is fully redeemable against a retail product or further treatment.

Please note, the skin analysis facility is only available at our Bedford clinic. Skin consultations with a taster facial are still available at other locations.

An in-clinic consultation can be booked directly with the clinic.

WHAT THE SCANNER WILL SHOW

This shows the distribution of Haemoglobin content. Where there are higher levels, lesions are likely to cause inflammation.
This shows deeper levels of hemoglobin levels and inflammation. This picks up telangiectasia, sensitivity, inflammation and red blood stream symptoms. Cheeks and nose are usually areas to be deep red.
The yellow areas show dehydration and ‘false’ wrinkles. Naturally, we are more dehydrated this time of the year.

This is pigmentation, sun damage, acne scars at an epidermal level. It shows how even your complexion is (or not). It can show a prediction of what your skin will look like if nothing is done.

This shows a prediction of melanocyte activity and hyperpigmentation, acne marks at a deep layer. This shows what the eye can’t see. It can show a prediction of what your hyperpigmentation of your skin will look like if nothing is done.

Mapping will show the distribution of pores. We all have them, they are natural and genetic. They won’t go away.

Red spots will represent the bacteria found in pores and hair follicles. White spots are your clogged pores. Yellow/green spots will show all the oil on the skin’s surface. Analysis of the skin’s metabolism – where this is poor, the skin is more likely to darken. And lastly, whitening of the skin will represent where the skin lack water.
